ATMS builds upon the legacy of Trafficware’s flagship central transportation management platform and delivers a powerful tool for monitoring and controlling an agency’s traffic control and ITS infrastructure. ATMS is equipped with a modern and intuitive interface and allows an agency to bring traffic network data into a single repository for a real-time, integrated view of traffic operations. ATMS allows the user to manage and monitor various traffic and ITS components that contribute to safe and efficient traffic operations.
ATMS is a full featured stand-alone central management system. However, it is also a flexible software platform that supports additional functionality such as Adaptive Signal Control, Fleet Management, Transit Signal Priority and Emergency Priority Response. Each module provides powerful tools and capabilities, but also leverages tools within the ATMS platform. And, Trafficware is virtually the only ATMS provider to integrate with Google Maps, Bing Maps and GIS Maps to provide high resolution imagery.

Trafficware's central management system, ATMS, stands out for three primary reasons:
- The system’s proven stability and code integrity are backed by over 250 installations across North America.
- ATMS’s architecture is flexible, with an intuitive user interface designed around easy-to-use Microsoft standards. The system operates in real time to present data in multiple formats, providing easy access to the information you need to manage the transportation environment.
- Our platform is designed to scale as an agency expands its specific needs. There are over a dozen functional modules that expand the system features.
ATMS Modules
SynchroGreen ® Adaptive Traffic Control: by adjusting signal timing plans based on current traffic conditions traffic engineers can reduce delays and travel time.
Traffic Engineering Asset Management Software (TEAMS) is a specialized asset management application that focuses on the needs of transportation professionals, helping agencies at the state, county, or city level manage their extensive inventory of traffic equipment. Tracks a variety of assets, such as controllers, hand-held devices, and counters. Each asset can be associated with trouble reports, service requests, and maintenance records.
WEB: Allows an agency to port specific content that is retrieved from ATMS to the Internet to provide real-time traffic and congestion information to the public.
TSP: Re-coordinates intersections after a public transportation vehicle passes through the corridor, helping to maintain normal traffic flow.
Advanced Communications: Trafficware’s ATMS has a fully integrated Advanced Communications module, expanding an agency’s capabilities and visibility over their extended network of controllers.
StreetSync: StreetSync is a field solution that allows you to use a tablet or laptop computer in the comfort and safety of your vehicle to wirelessly configure the controller. It also allows you to synchronize data with your ATMS central server while in the field, even when the cabinet is not connected, allowing you to more easily maintain data integrity.
CCTV: Provides closed circuit TV (CCTV) surveillance footage from IP, Industrial Video & Control, and Chameleon cameras, and integrates directly with the user interface.
CMS: Allows users to remotely program changeable message signs (CMS).
Disaster Recovery: Provides a fully redundant, secondary server that will restore data and traffic operations in the event that the primary server fails.
UPS: ATMS provides integrated access to the UPS, providing important data and configuration directly from your ATMS command center.
