Synchro 8
|
|
|
 |
Synchro is a macroscopic analysis and optimization software application. Synchro implements the Intersection Capacity Utilization (ICU) 2003 method for determining intersection capacity. Version 8 also supports the HCM 2010 methodology for signalized intersections and roundabouts. Due to ease-of-use, traffic engineers are modeling within days thus adding to the number of reasons Synchro remains the leading traffic analysis application.

- This new feature allows importing map images via Bing(tm) of actual
location aerials, ensuring appropriate scaling and positioning
within the Synchro network.
- This easy-to-use tool is implemented as a wizard to step
users through the process of adding images straight from the
Internet. Begin by navigating the map or entering the
address of an intersection within your network.

- New options allow for more flexibility in displaying street
names and volumes within the Map View window.
- Show/hide backgrounds to keep the PC memory footprint
reasonable.
- Dock the Tool Bar either left or right, based upon user
preference.
- Quickly display the Level of Service (LOS) values for each
movement.
- Use the updated Print Preview window with the new Zoom
tool to preview reports, the map window, and time-space diagram
in a larger or smaller scale prior to printing

- New and updated parameters (Mandatory Stop on Yellow,
Link is Hidden, Cycle Length, Maximum Split) give more
flexibility to emulate ramp meters, security gates, mid-block
pedestrian crossings, rail crossings, and draw bridges.
